Cannes is internationally known for its film festival, since 1946 thousands of actors and actresses have stepped on the red carpet of the festival.
The Festival was frequently criticized, and it was at the origin of numerous scandals or controversies which French and foreigners magazines, TV channels and newspapers, relayed.
